Dacris Benchmarks: Test PC Performance

Go to File - Compare Results to select systems for comparison.

A "system" represents one machine - one PC. It includes all results and system information associated with that PC.

You will see a dialog box like the following:

You have several options here:

• View in Report: Check this box to include a system in the list on the main window and in reports. If this box is unchecked, the system is effectively hidden from you everywhere except in the Compare Results window.
• Add Items: To load systems from files, click the button. You can load multiple systems by selecting multiple files. When you load systems, they are added to the list in the Compare Results window but they are not loaded into the report (the View In Report box will be unchecked).
• Go Online: Click this to go online and download reference systems from Dacris Software. By default, Dacris Benchmarks already contains all reference systems that were available online at the time of Dacris Benchmarks' release. However, to get the absolute latest results, click Go Online and download results from the web to your local hard drive. Then, use Add Items to load the results into Dacris Benchmarks.
• Publish: To publish your results online, click this button. You will be taken to an online page where you can upload the results you saved as XML files previously.
• Clear List: To reset the list in the Compare Results window, click this button. This will completely remove all systems you loaded from the list. The actual files will not be deleted.

Note: Any changes you make in the Compare Results window will be immediately applied to the rest of the program.

Here are some tips related to viewing results.

If anything listed here isn't already obvious in the user interface, we haven't done a good enough job designing Dacris Benchmarks:

• You can sort results on the Overview tab by clicking on a column header.
• On the main window, select a system from the list on the left to view its system information and system grade information.
• Use the tabs at the top to navigate between different views and follow any special instructions provided by each view.
• You can view a collection of all graphs by clicking the Graph button. On the Graph window, click Save to save a graph to a file.

At the top of every tab on the main screen there are several buttons:

• Click HTML to produce an HTML report for the selected tab.
• Click Excel to produce an Excel (CSV) report for the selected tab.

Go to Tools - Generate Reports to generate a complete set of reports for all views and all formats, plus an XML master report that you can transform manually with your own XSL stylesheet. To find out more about generating custom reports, click here.
