The so-called "humble" collection reportedly contains over 1,000 CPUs. There are many old ones as well as the most recent CPUs.

With benchmarks, there is always the question of whether size really matters. And no, we're not talking about down there.
The previous version of Dacris Benchmarks was just 2 MB in size, but its 3D test was ridiculously cheesy.
Here is what Dacris Benchmarks 8.0 would "weigh" with & without the 3D test:
- With 3D test - 30 MB
- Without 3D test - 4 MB
The reason the 3D test takes up so much space? We have to bundle not only the graphics (19 MB) but also the XNA redistributable (7 MB). These are big. Basically, 87% of Dacris Benchmarks 8.0 is the 3D test.

We are ready to announce the upcoming result browser!
Here is what we have in store for the result browser:
- It will be largely a clone of hwbot.org, with more features.
- It will be its own website, dedicated to user submissions. We plan to allow users to submit additional benchmark scores (not just Dacris Benchmarks). We will not restrict users in terms of what scores they can submit. We will allow you to configure full-blown system profiles (with permalinks). The system profile will be in every way more comprehensive & more customizable than hwbot.org.
- We will not automatically validate system profiles. We may, at some point, create a point system and a system of optional validation, but nothing will be mandatory. For example, if your CPU-Z profile is validated, fine, but if not, you'll still be able to post your system profile. Users will be able to see which profiles are validated & which ones are not, and filter results by validation status.
- You will be able to upload Dacris Benchmarks scores directly into your system profile & pre-load your profile with system information from Dacris Benchmarks.
- You will be able to compare profiles, scores, components, and add profiles to favorites. You'll also be able to "friend" members and rate profiles & components.
- You will be able to download multiple selected profiles ("favorites") in Dacris Benchmarks XML format so you can use them to compare results in Dacris Benchmarks (as long as the selected profiles have Dacris Benchmarks results posted).
- Charts - for any component / profile, for any test score, you'll be able to generate a chart, and even download raw data in CSV/XML format. Of course, the chart will be searchable & we will post some master CPU / hard drive / video card charts as well.
- "Find profiles like this one" feature will search for profiles similar to a particular profile and rank the results by similarity score.
- System builder / recommend-a-configuration feature will allow you to select a profile (or auto-generate one) to use as a basis for configuring a new PC.
- User-generated content linked to your profile: blogs, videos, screenshots, guides, reviews, with content linked in from blogspot, facebook, and other external services.
- Automatic search of shopping sites linked into system builder and system profile, so you can even estimate how much a system is worth and select the most cost-effective components / system.
- Users can manually post shopping links for their components & system profiles so that other users can buy the same components.
The most likely domain name that we will use for this new site is PCSTATS.NET. However, this could change depending on what YOU think! Yes - vote now.

Quick update:
We've compiled a list of 8 reasons why you should get Dacris Benchmarks 8 today.
In addition, video tutorials, as promised, are coming this month and will be posted on YouTube.
We have some grand ideas for the result browser experience. We are in fact planning to build something similar to hwbot.org. More details are coming.
One thing is clear: the full online result browser will be a separate website.
As a result, we will soon start posting daily results (as a ZIP file) in our result browser section. You will be able to download all the latest results (since the last update) in a single ZIP file. This will be a sort of "lite" result browser until the full result browser is ready.
When the full result browser is ready, we will post a link in the Result Browser section along with a list of most recent user submissions.
We already have a fair amount of reference results and we'd like to thank everyone who has shared their results so far. Great work everyone!

Dacris Benchmarks 8.0 has at last made it all the way... to final release!
We are really excited about all the new features. We shouldn't be, because we've been playing around with this product for months now. But we are. Still.
Here are the features that have us all excited:
- HTML reporting, with graphs!
- Graphs, graphs, and more graphs! And they look cool too!
- Single-file XML report that has everything in it. Any geek will absolutely love this.
- Ability to compare 3, 10, or even 100 systems side-by-side.
- Remarkable accuracy: results usually vary less than 2% between tests!
- Take it anywhere! With the ZIP file version, there is no need to be an administrator.
- Stunning new 3D test with amazing graphics. You will want to run it for hours!
- You can run all tests in less than 2 minutes!
- Automate the entire process, from benchmarking to reporting, with command-line scripts!
- Track your system's resource usage in the background and find out what's slowing things down.
These are probably the most prominent features, but there are many more which haven't been mentioned.
In the coming weeks, we will post video tutorials that demonstrate the full power of Dacris Benchmarks.
While this is certainly an exciting release, it is only a beginning. We expect more releases to come which will easily surpass the excitement of this release.
