What is Benchmarking?

Benchmarking, in the context of computers, means measuring performance using a standardized test. It's sort of like an exam for your computer. A benchmark (or benchmark test) is a standardized test designed to measure the performance of a device.

In Dacris Benchmarks, we have a benchmark for each hardware component of your PC. There is a benchmark for the processor (CPU), memory, hard drive, and video card. We have two benchmarks for the video card - one for measuring 2D rendering performance (such as when editing videos), and one for measuring 3D rendering performance (such as when playing 3D games).
