ActiSetup 4.5 Help

The ActiSetup Development Environment

The above image shows a typical view of ActiSetup 4.5. You have the menu and toolbar at the top, the editing view in the center, and several docking windows to the sides.

Project Explorer

The project explorer shows a tree of all the ways in which you can customize the active project. Click a category (with a folder icon) to get a description of each view under that category. Browse to a specific view by selecting it in the project explorer. If you don't wish to use the project explorer, you can also browse the views using the View menu.

Editing View

The editing view is the central section where you can customize a certain aspect of your project. The editing view has a caption at the top showing which view it is. Certain editing views will have context-specific editing commands that change depending on what you select. Right-click a selected item to view these commands or use the Edit menu.

Properties

The properties window shows properties for any selected item. If you've hidden the properties window, you can choose Properties from the context menu of an item (or from the Edit menu) to change the item's properties.

Dynamic Help

This section shows context-sensitive help for the current editing view.

Output Window

This window shows the output generated by various processes such as building, validating, or debugging the project. You can save the output by clicking the Save button in the top right-hand corner of this window.

Tasks

This is a list of to-do tasks that are extracted from the errors and warnings given during build or validation.

Customization

You can customize the layout of the ActiSetup environment to your liking by dragging the toolbars and docking windows around and using the View menu. To reset the layout to its default configuration, select Tools from the main menu, click Settings, and look under Reset Settings. Check the corresponding items and click Apply selected items.
